I had program 2 already. They look pretty good and is relativelly easy to program.
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

I've programmed 3 of them and I'm working on two more now. They are very nice remotes. I find programming is easier than the Prontos'. Using it very smilar to any touch screen. You can do some functions one handed but most of the screen stuff you need to look at the screen to do it. You have to figure out which type of remote is most suited for you. I personally prefer the button remotes but my family likes the touchscreens for ease of use.

I like the 3000, but as it doesn't use my verified 700/800 archives, I feel it is a major pain in the ass to deliver to a customer. Should I just tell the customer that I come with the unit, or should I duplicate his setup in my office? Playing with Pronto ccf's (what junk) is hit and miss, the file library here is in it's infancy, and HTM, seeing that, is probably now well aware of it's error. Of course we were all comping at the bit to get our hands on it so it probably was released prematurely. I just hope they come thru soon.

Why is it HTM's fault that the file library here is in it's infacy? I don't understand you reasoning. And, are you saying that MX-700/800 device files do not work on the 3000's????

They would have much more participation if the software was cross-platform.

from what I heard they did work on it (i.e. 700/800/3000 compatibility). Also it would not surprise me if they announce it at CEDIA (what better place)

They have been working on importing .mxd and .mxf files in MX-3000 Editor, along with a couple of other features that custom installers will quite enjoy.

Wait for CEDIA. Hopefully good solid news about the new features will be available.

I'll be there and will report back with anything that other custom installers haven't posted from their stop at the URC booth.

By the way......... if you're going to CEDIA, see me (Greg) at the URC booth!
