I have a customer that has an older (3 years old) Sony 34 HD set. On any of the HD channels the top left of the picture is wavy. On DVD, standard def. the picture is fine She is using a Sony HD sat receiver. I swapped the Sat receiver with an identical one from her bedroom and still have the same problem. Any Ideas Thanks Zinon

I beleive the technical term for the problem you are describing is called "flagging". I have seen this before(just happened to be a Sony tv) in our showroom.
All we did was switch out the component cable.
Worked for us.

Is the Sat receiver set to output 720P? Some of the older CRT TV's can't handle the 720P signal. Switch to 1080i and see if that helps. Quality cable can make a difference as well.

Bob, It was set a 1080i. I set it to 720p this afternoon and seems to be working fine. Thanks Zinon
