What I'm getting from all of this back and forth is that Ranger And Rhea (and perhaps many other Texans) are in the upper 2% of wealth and think and vote accordingly, and that BP and Bruce are lower middle class and think and vote accordingly.

I'm unsure why I am posting in this mix, but I do wonder why any middle class person would think and vote for the far right when it would be clearly against their financial interests. But the democrat politicians, while spinning good public yarn, clearly don't have the middle class in their sites either. The big money is hedging the bets and bankrolling both sides of that equation.

Rhea, social issues like Obama bowing to a robot is indeed right wing syrup (it is meaningless), abortion, gay marriage...etc...are all distractions...so either you are strategically perpetuating those distractions for your own cause, or you have bit the hook and buy into the distraction...which is it? If you are doing it for your own financial cause and are part of the upper 2%, then I totally understand..But if you are not a multi millionaire, than you have been successfully distracted.

Aw man, I wanted to explore both sides of the 'Obama bows to robot' story. If it could even be called that. Gotta look at this from both sides.Because the hornets nest of rational thinking people saying to themselves 'OMG WTF LOL' is definitely stirred up, if you would call it that.It seems that Breitbart has stirred up the knuckle dragging minions with another mind knumbingly asinine propaganda piece based in nothing more than rage and hate, repeated and regurgitated immediately and without question.Tell me more about anger and fear, plus add the predictable bonus tu quoque about MSNBC.

Actually the Dems are better for us in the middle class. Look at what Reagon did, and the $$$ spent starting the wars prior to Obama.

The bow thing bothers me not. I probably would have done the same thing. That's not a story nor has any relevance to anything.

I feel the same about the "mission accomplished". There was a mission that was accomplished and that was to take down the Iragi regime. Its the left spin that's got its rubes up in arms and gives them their sugar fix.

Funny how that works. Both ways. Waste of time.

The simpleton statecraft that was Mission Accomplished is absolutely at issue not the left's spin. For an ideology that espouses the virtues of personal responsibility I find it ridiculous to blame warranted criticism towards Bush's trite photo op on left spin.

Government shows up at your house pointing 200 guns in your face demanding you pay a bill, your ok with that?

Many many more that owe a whole lot more than he supposedly does. Look at what Buffett got away with.

I have not spent days and weeks researching this much at all, don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but this sure stinks of big brother to great magnitude.

You ok with us renting land to other countries?

You ok with the fact we sold our nations largest food producer overseas?

Even worse your ok that most of our bourbon is now owned overseas?

You OK with a president that says he is going to carry out his agenda with or without support from the other side?

You OK with speaking Russian, home searches, curfews and food lines?

You OK with people from other countries offering obscene amounts of money for homes, business and land and we greedy bastards just roll over and sell?

Right or wrong I am glad someone stood up to the government and won a battle, but that war isn't over.

If the left and right do not figure something out and meet in the middle your grandchildren are in trouble.

We cannot be a nation of houses with no industry, no thinkers, no doers.

We are being turned into a nation of followers.

Our education compared to most other producing countries is dismal.

We can no longer sit and be quiet and not say anything for fear of offending someone.

The rest of the world and our own government is putting it to us "Like A Boss"

This is why the government is trying to disarm civilians! So we can't fight back!

You state all of this glorious Bircher/Tea Party salad then want the convo to stop?

Not to mention that the meaning of Walk Away is a man trying to talk to a woman and she won't talk to him and keeps walking  away.

Which is a little, er, weird. Are you the woman walking away,  or telling everyone else to be like the woman and walk away?

Or are you just saying Walk Away from a conversation you took part in at one time and don't wish to any more?

All these questions left unanswered..

Signed, Baffled from Big Island

I am saying we should all just turn our pretty heads and walk away.

Nothing worth while is coming out of this nut scratching session anymore.

More important things to do like a bourbon and a cigar.

Nothing good comes from calling out vapid nuttery such as 'Obama bows to a robot?'

No good comes out of mocking usage of the term 'libtards' for the puerile asshattery that it is?

Enjoy your cigar and bourbon.

I'll pour myself a fine mezcal and read a book on the beach wondering what you deem worthy for a nut scratching session. And think of choice zingers for Mac's newly minted 'Checkmate Libturds!' meme. Worthy!
