Talk about incredible timing! On the same day that Comcast and Time Warner Cable are filing their merger proposal paperwork with the Federal Communications Commission, Consumerist has announced that Comcast has won its annual poll for the “Worst Company in America.” From the onset of the day-long bout, lawsuit-lovin’, herbicide-makin’ Monsanto was within striking distance of the Philly Kid, but Comcast gained a hair-thin edge early on and never ceded the lead. [Link: consumerist.com]Unfortunately for the chemists among us, they don't tell us what number Comcast was, so we can't estimate the position the conjoined twins-to-be of dissatisfaction would occupy. Here is the full bracket from this year's tournament: edit: oops, wrong lousy company in the thread title

Ernie, did you click on your own link and / or read the bracket? Where is Time Warner Cable in all that?

I can't fathom what that chart is trying to convey.

I can't fathom what that chart is trying to convey. It's supposed to be fun, I think. Start at the top left. Between EA and TWC, TWC is worse. Between Koch and Sallie Mae, Koch is worse. Between Koch and TWC, TWC is worse. It's amusing but it's totally bogus, which has also been said for the NCAA bracket, indeed for the entire NCAA organization. Brackets show you the results of individual competitions but give you no accurate information as to who is better overall (or in shorts, for that matter).

What an effing country. It used to be the case that most people had good grammar. Now good grammar is so rare that a criminal is known for it.

Thank you.
I don't follow college sports so I had no idea how the chart was to be interpreted.

I don't follow sports either but I'm a troubleshooter and I recognize patterns. Of course, it was totally not worth the trouble but I did it anyway.

Just like rappers in this country. Most Rap songs are composed no more than 22 words, due to a rapper has only 68 words in his vocabularies under his belt. But he has 50 million dollars in his bank. On April 8, 2014 at 18:22, Ernie Gilman said...

Why would McDonald's be on the list? I completely understand a lot of those companies but McDonald's employes almost 2 million people and has one of the better foundations for supporting children who are ill. Sure they make nuggets with pink slim but is Doritos's vilified for making potato chips with "fake" cheese?

The customer service at McDonald's is approaching the level of Comcast service at this point. I would think the ratings where based on service, not altruism.
