Hey guys
i have a new client who requested to have some sort of PA system that would patch through the multiroom audio to do some sort of like airport announcement. it has always been a dream of his. i think intercom systems used to do that back in the days with Crestron however here it's going to be an RTI system. what would you recommend please?

thanks

yes he'd like the message to be played everywhere, or perhaps it could be nice to give him the choice for example let's say he wants to call the cook and he knows the cook is in the kitchen he could perhaps choose the kitchen instead of overriding all zones. but let's see what options i got please

You could use Savant for the intercom and paging and RTI for the control ;)

In the past when the client did a phone system such as Panasonic etc, we would use one source input from the wha system and tie it to the pa output of the phone system for this and you could also page room to room from the phone system. Also with certain alarm panels you could have it announce a fire or etc through the wha system this way, the elk m1 gold will give voice announcements for whatever you want to program it for and has a module that gives you a RCA out for doing this.

RDL STM-1 and switch the audio to that input first with the RTI.

I've done that with every Russound (CAM, CAV, Sphere and now C3 & C5) with both panasonic and NEC phone systems.
I even have the automation announcements about doors open, motion at front door, etc. go thru WHA.

So this will hook up to the mic and then rca to a preamp?
