I think we all should walk a mile in someone else's shoes, before judging, no? I often have to remind myself that, as I am often quick to judge...and I wish to correct that flaw.
Bigotry is bigotry, no matter how you spin it. And until you've personally spent years being oppressed, you can't say you've "walked that mile".
I was born a white, heterosexual, upper middle class, WASP male and have not had to grow up with the disadvantages others face every day. and if you think it's not an advantage, then ask yourself, would you trade places with a black man, a homo sexual, a poor ethnic woman. If your answer is "Hell No" (what my answer would be too) then maybe we should all not be so quick to judge.
I'll close with your typical closing line ( because I like it). "My nickel" ...
