How often do you guys find that a Sonos unit needs to be reboot it? I'm doing a proposal for our first big Sonos system, and I'm wondering if I should provide a way to reboot each unit if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Only had one house that had to rebooted and it was a network issue.
When folks say they work, they don't be mean sorta work.
They need nothing

In a related question ,how do you guys find SonosNet coexisting with WiFi in an typical scenario where you might have three AP assigned to CH 1, 6 & 11?

We install a switched outlet for anything that has a processor. Be it Apple TV, control processor, modem, router, cable STB, or Sonos.
TRIPP LITE TLP76MSG Or American DJ PC-100A
Both work well. It's saved the night more than once

That is what we usually do, but having 16 Connect Amps in a rack, I was wondering if it was worth it to add the necessary gear for rebooting them.

I don't think I've ever needed to reboot Sonos and we do not provide reboot switches for them. Best solution might be to turn off the Sonos radio. [Link: vowe.net]

I'm Into a redundancy and CYOA mode. You need 16 outlets for these any way. You will eat up 16 outlets on main surge protector? This just in: Connect Amp max draw is 2 amps! You will need 3 15 amp power stations

What are you using for Wifi? We use Aruba and Unifi. If I do Unifi, everything has to be on one channel, which leaves 2 options for Sonos. If I do Aruba, I let Adaptive Radio management decide where to put the AP's. It has never had the same channel on Sonos when I look at the history. You could always put Sonos on 6, then put your AP's on 1 and 11.
Sonos very rarely needs to be rebooted. I would have an IP Power strip and plug the Root Bridge into an IP Controllable outlet if you are worried about it.

Why Unifi on a single channel? Haven't heard that one.

Some versions of the UniFi firmware/software have a "zero handoff" feature which (among other things) places all APs on the same channel.
You don't have to use that feature in which case channel assignment is done as in any other AP.
I just use 1 and 6 for WiFi and make sure Sonos is set for 11 unless I can setup a totally wired Sonos system and get channel 11 back.

Is that the new/beta FW? I've avoided using beta.

I have been using 3.1.6 works fine, and I roll it in clients installs. I am currently running 3.1.9 in my house no problems.
