Does anyone have experience with these and know what the fan noise is like?

I have used ZeeVee boxes in the past and the fan noise is VERY prevelant. I need to appropriately engineer a system and component locations and noise may be a consideration.

Call ZeeVee and ask if the fan noise on the new units is the same as on the models you've worked with. Call Fred and ask if he's had complaints.

:)... I know that is the obvious answer. I just need to have a day less than 12-14 hours with time to call during business hours!
