I need your help with a problem we are experiencing in one of our jobs in NYC we have a client with several plasma screens and are installing time warner's DVR units.
The problem we are experiencing is a slight picture flickering with these boxes.
this happens when there are bright graphics in the background (NY1 weather or msnbc stock charts). it happens mostly in the upper part of the screen.
the weird thing is that it doesnt happen with all the plasmas just a few, like the new 50" fujitsu and older pioneer 4X3 plasmas , other pioneer(not same model) and sony plasmas around the house are fine,we have tried all the obvious things like swapping boxes grounding all equipment, lifting ground but problem still there no matter what connection is used.
problem is not as obvious when signal is routed via dvdo line doubler and into plasma via component but still there.
regular box or hd box in same location with same feeds power and connections are perfect and signal strenght is great.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this or has any ideas what might be causing it.
I would greatly appreciate it
Thanks

I had a similar problem with a Panasonic Plasma in a high rise condo. The picture was fine, but whenever the audio system put out any audio, the plasma would flicker. I tried grounding the equipment, lifting/Isolating the ground on the plasma (Using a 3-way to two adapter and also using a Levition 5380 Inwall Surge protector), lifting the ground on the cable line (Xantech 63400). Nothing seemed to work after a few hours of headaches I decided to run another wire (Thank you can lights). After running a new wire it worked. The only thing That I can think of is that the old cable line was lying against some low voltage track lighting/transformer or a 220 line that was making noise in the picture. Hope this helps.
