I need to get the dimensions to the face plate for SPLCD64V. I've been dealing with Xantech for 2 days know without any luck. They sent me the dimensions to the actual Smartpad but not the face plate.
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

640x480 pixel size, don't know if that helps.

Thanks for the reply but I'm referring to the actual Width x Height dimension of the face plate.

Did they say they were actually sending you one? We've had 2 on backorder since feb. We've installed the graphics versions (splcd39g and splcd57g) but they keep telling us the splcd64V keeps on having minor bugs so they won't ship.

I haven't decided yet if I'll use the SPLCD64G or V I guess the face plate dimensions are the same but I need those to give them to the company that is manufacturing the desk. I'm going to use it in a Board Room inside a hidden compartment that will pop up when you press it. I'm no planning to feed any video to it and the resolution on both is 640X480 and 64K colors. Do you know if the G version is available? Because if what you have in back order is the G version then I'll spec the SPLCD57G since they have problems with the SPLCD64V.

I believe the splcd64g is shipping but just the splcd64v that is not. Unfortunatly I don't have the measurements to give you and if I remember correctly the manual doesn't because they have you depend on a metal template for cutting out the sheetrock to install the backbox.

I have six 64's in one house and the customer shuddered when he saw how big the face plates were(after we'd cut all the holes). You get the usual used-car BS when you ask about it, but there many examples out there without those huge bezel surrounds (but not at the price, I guess). I suppose I'll put one in my house, as I like the functionality, and I am hearing no plans to make them more compact. They seem to be solid, reliable, and powerful (like a mini-MRC88 processor inside). I've tested the rs232 out port with the MRC88, and it sure opens up the global functions.

I'm sure they going to have it at CEDIA next week and I'm going to be able to compare side by side with the 5.7. The size of the face plate should not be a factor here since the smartpad is going to be hidden inside a pop up compartment in tne conference desk.
