So, I have a general contractor that has a house in Costa Rica and the crime is getting bad by his standards, he had to start locking his front door.
He wants to get a camera system here and take it down and install it. He's leaving in a week so I don't have time to teach him to do bnc's, etc. It needs to be pretty easy to install.
He's been checking the "net" and is overwhelmed by the large difference in pricing. So, I figured someone here "may" know of one that's fairly easy to set up by a "somewhat" technical person. Having a decent app and decent recording is the main necessity.

+1. You'll not be able to convince him otherwise and DONT OWN this project lol. it will bite you. Let him deal with it. Don't even recommend a model or kit.

Samsung camera system at Coscto. The DVR works fairly well and there is remote access. I compare them to HTIB's the main unit is ok, but the actual cameras are like HTIB speakers. They can get the job done, but they were built for a few bucks each. If he needs a 4 camera system, then he should buy an 8 so he has back ups.

Tell him to send you down so you can install a system for him...It might take an entire week for this particular system!

What's the power voltage in Costa Rica?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

How's the ISP down there. I did a customer provided Qsee system, the software was the same as digimerge, not bad for a pre packaged kit.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

Let him deal with it. If the infrastructure is anything like Brazil, youll habe hit or miss performance.

I have a couple of contractors/customers on my jobs that have used dropcams during construction. It's cloud based, so you need solid internet.
