Residential? All will work fine for 99% of typical project SOWs. For the 1% that want/need odd custom features/programming/UIs, Crestron and AMX are really the only option.

Commercial? Crestron or AMX will handle anything, Extron is fine for small/medium projects, and maybe Savant for something very basic.

Two pages in and nobody has mentioned Harmony???

The Harmony Ultimate with the base station and two "flashers on a 6' chord, man you can conquer the world with those things!!

Why waste your money on anything else?

Wouldn't you agree bcf1963?

My two cents

bcf1963 is in Korea fixing circuit boards. He will return as soon as his boss talks to his customer.

I was in lake Geneva all day sorting cable and installing cable ladders. Drove from there to Ottowa illinois to pick up a new foster dog. 3 hour trip. We are on our way back home now. I'm so out of it that I wrote that response wrong.

Should have been "...enough to mail a letter."

Yes. Nelle is ours so she's always here. Val has someone interested in her but she blew her knee out last week so she has to have surgery. The rescue is paying for her surgery, using their vet. Hopefully she recovers quick enough to get adopted by the interested party.

The new one (Sadie) is an awesome 7 month old blue brindle pit bull. She is like nelle so short and stocky but unlike Nelle she's really flexible. She's like a cat. I'm guessing she won't be contained by our measly 4' fence.

ready, get your pencils out boys and girls... here is the answer to which is the best...

the best control system is the one that the customer will actually pay for!!!!
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...
