Did Sony change their codes on this new 4K model? I can't get any of my Sony code sets to work.

Is it connected to a Sony 4K display?
Are source and display connected to the internet?

Are you using the IR input on the back of the display or are you using an emitter?

Hmmm.. no way to transfer URC codes to AMX unless I go out and buy a URC remote. Are these the regular codes that have been working for Sony TVs for the last couple years?

I believe they are standard Sony IR commands but I really can't confirm that right now because we are using Savant and I would have to dig into the XML hex code. Can't now.

I asked about the rear port because we couldn't get the rear port to work. As soon as we changed to an emitter, the TV fired up.

That's good to know, I'm using AMX so it's likely an issue of just turning off the IR carrier.

The Hex codes are here on Remote central. They are the same codes I've been using for the last year or so I guess.
the codeset has HDMI-1-4, and Video 1-3.

it is NOT the older codeset that does Video 1-9

I could not get a bunch of input codes in the RTI library to work this morning. A few times an input code would power cycle the display. It was a weird day...

Have not had any issues with front or back other than figuring pin input config. Not at a computer now but I think codes I use are dated for 2010 models. Someone mention power cycling. These tvs have a long turn off and if you were to issue a command such as on before it is all the way off. The TV will power on off and back on.

And of course the Sony Master List:

Am I the only person x-learning codes out of other dbs? There are so many remotes you can learn from / into to produce hex, even if you are pulling out of codeset 621.

Had this been posted in the right forum, I'd had your codes to you faster. :-)

In my experience, the rear IR port on Sony displays is a little weird. It's like they used the ring and the sleeve of a TRS plug, not the tip and sleeve.

If your code works with the emitter on the front, get a mini plug and try the rear port again - but after you've seated the plug all the way, pull it out very slightly, and see if it works. You won't want to leave it that way, since it's not super stable, but at least you'll know it works.

Sn@p sells these little TRS plugs with screw terminals, and with those you can put in a jumper to effectively make a Tip/Tip/Sleeve plug.
