Phase Technology -- CI-40's are good for the money.
Also, anything B&W puts out are always impressive. I like the totem stuff but becoming a dealer is kinda pricey....
hey! it works!

I'm always looking for the best value options, I can tell you the Sonance VP61 (and new VP62) definitely outperform their Monitor Audio, Niles, and Revel counterparts in those price ranges.

...and so do their 81/82's as well (by a large margin).

With regard to other products, they also perform better then the B&W's, Speakercrafts, Polk's and Russounds I've compared them to. I'm currently looking at Phase Technology and Kef to see how they compare...but haven't done a side by side yet.

What are typically driving sonance with?

For surround sound, we typically use Yamaha AVR's

For house audio, a combination of SONOS, Niles, RTI or Russound Amps; or other depending on the situation.

Kef stuff sounds great, but I found an exception a few years ago.

We put the motorized speakers, Ci200QT, in a few residences. This is a few models back, so all I can say is that I hope they have improved things.

Basically, they sounded okay until we put them in a huge room divided in two by a fireplace. We had low-priced Sonance in one half of the room the Kef in the other half. The Kef sounded tinny and a bit harsh compared to the Sonance, which sounded great.

Models have moved on since then, but I'm just sayin.'

There were also some wiring quirks about the motorized part of the Kefs. PM me or email me if you have questions about that.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I sell the episode 700's for $500. Are some of you really charging more? VERY happy with them to the point I don't even want to try anything else to muddy the waters.

But, I could be convinced, lol.

MSRP only.

How were those Kefs?

Kef's sounded good, but that job turned into a clusterf$&k.

I have to agree with those saying Sonance VP series. We've used them on a few projects and they sound great.

I have with; with their entry/mid level option (CCM663)

I used Sonance VP65 ceiling speakers with 2 Nuvo P3100's, which are believe are rated at 30W per channel. They sounded fantastic actually.

Not too many people mention Jamo. I've done PSB, Monitor Audio, Boston, Paradigm, Episode...etc...Jamos almost alway sound really good. Great bass and a pleasant sizzle to them. They may not be the most accurate but they always sound pleasing.

I like Jamo. Have a pair in my master bed walls and a pair in my folks kitchen ceiling. Both sound great (ceilings powered by a Speakercraft MZC64 and my in walls powered by a URC DMS1200)

Jamos ain't bad actually. Not all that well known or used, but I've used them in the past, and really liked them but their passive in-wall subs are weak!

I love the way the RBH mc615 in ceiling speakers sound

I've used them with amps from Ada parasound Bryston adcom kenwood and some others

I run mine with Ada ptm1260 amp. Only thing I am unsure about is run them with or without the back boxes. I can make an argument for either.
