need some explanation here. I’m trying to trigger RTI system macro by URC remote and iRule System. “Generate IR trigger codes/Copy selected HEX data for currently selected macro” works for iRule but not for URC. For URC I have to do learning
Here is what I do on URC end: Open Universal browser, HEX window, past hex command in it, yes I can see text in it, using drug icon drug command to button, L icon appears on button,
and it doesn't work,
IR pass through enabled on RTI.

Not sure I get it? You could use an mrx1, and use a contact closure to tigger the Rti processor, but a stand alone Urc remote isn't going to do I don't think.

IR addressing and everything proper on the URC end? Have you tested for IR at the URC output?

I have MSC-400 The beauty of URC short of to way control etc. and have lots of macros in it.
Yes I tested all outputs on MSC and XP-8 IR passing thru but not triggering macro. I can tell by looking on xp-8 adjusters they blink ones I press button on remote.
And here’s an update: on macro # 20 it work but only on this one so far. The strange thing is learning from remote to remote works, while copy and past HEX doesn’t

Hopefully this isn't in a client's system????

Why are you mixing manufacturers? Don't try to save folks money.

Thanks for that last post. Usually I'm the one who asks "why are you looking to make this particular combination of things work when it's not a good combo of things?"

I'm also not sure what "drug icon drug" means......
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Thanks for reminding how I am not a salesperson, and sorry for my English, even spellchecker doesn't understands me. But kindly. I'm here for technical advise.

I meant drag button on universal browser

Maybe one of the other guys got it, but why are you combining brands of things? IIRC (if I understand correctly) RTI system macros can be triggered by commands from RTI remotes but you're choosing to use URC remotes instead. I don't have any idea how iRul figures into it. Please explain a bit more.

It is URC (Universal Remote Control)
Well of cost first reason is price, system for myself for now, I’ve been using URC up until it hit its limits. No Total Control 3 day training didn’t sold it for me.
iRule is nice control system for smart devices short of it not a house control, it is only room by room and one device can’t truck other, all info, macro, variables resides on device itself. if You grub other device it wouldn’t know what is been change on system so far, That is than RTI come handy. Its processors starting with RP-6 allows you to trigger macro by IR command

In Integration Designer Clicking on XP-8, highlight desired macro, click Devices/Generate IR trigger codes/Copy HEX data for currently selected macro.
In iRule builder there is a place to past hex data for copied trigger. And what part works just fine.
in CCP also there is the universal browser for pasting HEX codes, but pasting HEX codes in it and when dragging it to button doesn’t work while learning for very same button does

My parking lot:
URC
MCS-400
MX_6000
MX_5000
MX-980
KP-900
KP-4000

RTI:
XP-8s
T2+ remote

iRule:
Global Cache

URC universal browser

Ok, this may sound harsh and I don't mean for it to be because we may be some kind of distant Golden cousins or something. Why would you turn down a line because they required you to go through a 3 day training? This is absurd. Instead, you are building a frankensystem that if you were to deploy in jobs will cause you nothing but headaches, especially when it comes to customer support as neither company is going to help you with the others equipment. I will NEVER get why so many guys refuse training. DUMB. Knowledge is power. The absence of it, well, call Best Buy. You'll both give the same results.

I thought I can't do reading, I took 3 day training, and was rather disappointed. Why can't you guys just stick to technical part.
