Hello people

I'm trying to find a way to control multiple TVs(same brand/model) at the same time. The problem is that they are placed at different locations throughout the hall way(for digital signage). So what's the easiest way to have a "central control" to control all the TVs at the same place, at the same time?

Thanks

A control system processor that transmits some type of control protocol (IR, serial, ethernet) to each TV via the proper cabling. Crestron, AMX, Control4, Extron, RTI, I could go on and on.

Do you already have control system I place?

The TVs brand and model? Top of your head, what control protocol does it have?

Hire a pro, of course.

Seriously though, any pro level remote with a base station will have addressable IR outputs which will allow you to control each TV independently with blasters.

There are several methods of doing this. What are the make and model of the TVs, and what level of experience do you have with audio and video equipment? The fact that you don't mention how many TVs makes me think you don't have a lot of experience with this kind of stuff. Your quickest bet might be to hire a pro. Though it sounds sarcastic, it's very good advice. I mean, really, you ask for the easiest way, and to hire a pro who already knows what to do is definitely the easiest.

Where are you located (other than perhaps next to another molar)? Someone here is probably near you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I haven't got the control system and have no idea what to get. The TV is Vizio E420i-A0. So I think they can only receive IR from the remote.

What product are you using for digital signage?
Avid Stamp Collector - I really love 39 Cent Stamps

If it can only be controlled via an IR remote you need a control system that outputs IR...I.e. Every control system since Reagan was in office. Get with your installer and they will come up with the appropriate solution.

I have almost no experience at the stuff to be honest. And the current plan is to connect all the TVs with ethernet cable and let them grab the image files form our media server. I'm in San Jose Bay Area for the matter.

Urgggh... You are about to open another can "full" of worms.

Hire a pro as all others said.

Hire someone who does.

Well, sure it is.
A. You have to know what they mean by "plug" and by "play."

B. Plug and play does not mention a control system. Will this thing work if you just plug it in, turn it on, and leave it on? That's plug and play!

It's not mine, but I know how to find it:
