One more big thanks to Dan.....

By the way another great way to say thanks is with your pocket book...

I know he has a pay pal account.... Go on Say thanks till it hurts.

Or just tickles a little.

Or something.

Just wanted to see where I fit in the big picture as well.

I suppose "regular" is better than "irregular" or "stopped up"

Gee I was originally registered as Theater Builder, But I forgot my password. So I re-registered as RTI Installer. Do I get credit for those posts? would this qualify me as a founding member? hardy har, har

I look at all of this ratings business as just for fun, and not as any kind of smart guy meter. In truth we all know that there a guys out there who are extraordinarily knowledgeable installers, who have never been to this site, or maybe have only bothered to make a post or two. I for one would never want to discredit or discourage their input for the sake of a bulk rating system.

Seriously, Daniel. Anyway to go back to an older user name? The first post of mine that I could find was in '99:

Daniel,
you didn't think that when you improved things and put a lot of thought into just what to do, and observed feedback from the trial forum, that you would just be giving us all something else to complain about, did you?

It has been said that there is only one thing that does not change, and that is that there is change. There is a second thing that does not change: lots of people complain about every change.

Great site, but as I said in the Sat forum, I would like to apply for my own custom dairy product, and I prefer "yogurt" spelt french as "youghourt." (If the French do not capitalize "francais," why should I capitalize "french?" Especially as it IS the french we are talking about here.)
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Doesn't foundling have an L in it?

Can I post "Am I a Super member yet" 3500 times to become one?

How old do you have to be to be a Senior member? As a founding member I don't feel older than seniors.

Is there a rating for Smart-Alek members?

But seriously, Thank you Daniel for this forum, it has helped me immesurably over the years and I hope that my meager posts have assisted others.

I also don't feel deserving of the title "founding", just luck of timing as to when I started doing Prontos and discovered this site.

Daniel, Nice job on the forum. It's unique in the industry and actually helped shape on line support. The entire industry uses RC as a resource. You should as the manufacturers who steer people here for some support money. As far as being an advanced member I assume you're refering to my age.

Phew... was gone and without net access all day, so it's nice to come home now and see everything still running. :-) One reason I wanted to get this going some weeks before CEDIA - fixing stuff from away is a pain.

Thanks for the comments - although you should remember that, as the guy that runs the site, I rarely hear *anything* about what *anyone* in the industry really thinks. I just get nice tidbits from you guys once in a while, which keeps me going...

Ditto!!!! The remote resources section with codes and information about idiosyncracies with various controls is in itself invaluable. The discussion forums are fantastic, a plethora of experience, knowledge, and opinions.
