Anyone out there doing IP cameras? I have a client who would like to monitor his home via the web. I'll probably use regular cameras(C+ or CV) feeding a network video server (Stardot?). Wondering if anyone has had any experiences, good or bad. Thanks in advance

If you want to do serious IP camera stuff. Check out "AXIS" I have installed a few, and they are excellent. Noteably the PTZ 2130. It's a pan tilt zoom model that has stunning optics and serves video at 30 FPS. The optics are actually better than any surveillance camera I have seen, IP or otherwise. It is a Linux based web server with very easy to configure admin features. Because it's Linux, it's a lot less susceptible to being hacked than standard Window's varieties. The only thing I'd like to see improved on is the pan tilt resolution at extreme zoom. When fully zoomed, the movement from left to right, or up and down can sometimes miss the shot you are trying to get. Other than that very minor item, It's the best camera I have ever used.
