We have used discrete codes with Sony for On, off, direct input access, etc. for years and now with the new models we are having trouble. The smaller the TV the larger the problem. The codes may work one out of six or seven times but not consistantly.

Any work arounds or help??

You will help yourself and us if you give us at least one clue, and preferably hard info, about your situation.
What remote?
Just which TV?
Which commands do work, which don't?

Also, try posting this in the Pronto Forum, the NG Forum, and/or the Discrete Hunter Forum, along with a model number or two for which you are seeking commands.

I have used older Sony commands on a Marantz RC5200 in new models up to about six months ago with no problems. However, I have had MANY problems with the NG remotes on many devices, which is why I say

What remote are you using these codes with? The NG software sometimes changes codes that are learned, or even that are copied and pasted, into unusability.

more info = better responses
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
