It's the video version of making 9.2 surround out of a 5.1 source. It's already here in Yamaha DLP projectors, and it looks like it will be available soon in Philips LCOS displays as well.

The addition of more colors has been used in high-end offset printing for years, but it's relatively new to video.

I'd sure like to hear from anyone that has installed one of Yamaha's new projectors with the HD2 chip and the multi-color wheel. I'm interested to know how the color looks, especially skin tones.
