Is there a decent graphical (thinkiPad) piece of software that shows a plan view of the layout of the house that is compatible with RTI that can visually show what windows and door contacts are open and closed? so, I could at a glance look at my iPad and tell what doors/windows are open?? Maybe HAI has something that is compatable with RTI and is works seamlessly on the iPad ??

Any suggestions?!

Thanks!

RTiPanel + PCM4 or RTiPanel with any security system that has 2way driver for RTI .

We have done this for rtipanels in the past. We used a floor plan graphic on the back graphic layer and put a somewhat transparent red circle over the zones that is only visible when zone is open. We did it with dsc of which there is a 2way driver.

Perfect recommendation - that's what I was looking for. The DSC setup works well? Is it one of the better alarms out there??

We only use dsc. It meets our needs as far as speed of installation, reliability, ease of use for customer, etc. You will get ten different opinions though when asking which is best.

Not with RTI but we have done something similar with Crestron. Providing you can get a soft copy of the floor plan(s) use Visio or CAD to save the drawing to something that is compatible with the RTI software (PNG/JPEG will likely work). Use the drawing as your background or place it as an image, then place a green/red indication on the watched doors/windows and have them appear when the zone is open/closed.

As per security systems you will get 10 different answers. DSC, HAI, GE, Paradox...etc I know there is more.

We use Paradox exclusively as they have some cool features that incorporate building access as well as their programming and installation is very easy.
You can't fix stupid
