I agree, if he stopped to *help* him that changes the entire perspective of the story. I'd still like to know under what circumstances it became necessary to shoot an (apparently) unarmed naked man in the stomach, but anything is possible.

FYI the shooter here was also black from what I've read so far.

Because unarmed naked people can't harm anyone, right? Just because he's naked means he can't overpower someone. I remember a few different Cops episodes with naked black guys, and each one required multiple cops just to restrain the guy. One even slipped through over a dozen cops trying to hold him down.

If you weren't there, then you can't judge what happened. There just isn't enough information to make an informed decision one way or the other. That is unless you just like to make assumptions.

In some circumstances they can even eat your face off.



Apparently with great fondness, seems like they made quite an impression on you.

Firearms are for hunting, sport and self defense. If you can't "handle" a naked man on the highway without a gun then maybe you shouldn't try.

I guess the driver was blind and didn't realize he himself was black?

He tried to pull over and help this man and god knows what the naked man did to escalate things. The naked man was already in one altercation the same night. If I were to jump to any conclusion, it would be that the naked man is a few french fries short of a happy meal.

Then someone starts yelling racism without knowing all the facts.

You mean like you just did above? We don't know if he pulled over to help him, and we don't know if the naked guy escalated it. Both of those things *may* have happened but we don't know.

The driver of the vehicle was black. He told the news media that he turned around to see if he could help the young man. I agree that it his word against a dead man's work, but I find it hard to believe that he was the aggressor while being the one trying to help. The young man on the other hand had already been in one fight that night. In addition, nobody runs home naked for ten miles without being on some hardcore drugs. A sober human being seeks out a phone for help.

As far as a naked unarmed man not being dangerous, that is bunch of bull . I was with a group of people out on the town in Ybor city (Tampa) a few years back. We were just trying to leave the parking garage when a half naked (unarmed guy) tried to get into the backseat with a couple of the girls we were with. Nobody knew this guy. We snatched him out of the car and told him to get lost. He then started swinging on us. He was punched in the face repeatedly. It didn't even phase him. One of the guys forced him to the ground and smacked his head against concrete several times. It echoed through the whole garage. He laid there for a minute and we were able to get in our car and pull out. He then preceded to chase us down three levels and pound our window.There was blood all over the car. Finally the police showed up and it took over a dozen police officers to take him down. If I was just me, or me and my girl, I would not have hesitated to shoot him.

It doesn't matter what race the driver was. He had no business turning around and driving back to confront or help this guy. That's why we have police.

Personally--- if I saw some naked guy running down the street my first thought would be "He's high or crazy" and I would call 911 in a heartbeat, and stay away from the dude.

The shooter that was pictured looks like a thug, anyways & was he carrying a gun legally?
