It appears it's national kill a black man day once again in Florida. Little bit of inbreeding with a dash of racism paired with a firearm and viola...

Ughhh.  Reading this story, you have the distinctive feeling that the minute the guy wheeled that car around to go back, he finally had his opportunity, he was going to kill a black guy.

Why do you say inbreeding, racism, and paint the story to fit your prejudice? The victim is out all night at the ocean, naked arguing with a "friend" and then gets shot- you don't know what happened with the driver/shooter.
This is how the Treyvon Martin case became so outrageously overblown- race baiting.

Narrow view much?

I know what should've happened to the driver....He should've kept driving.  If he wanted to go the extra step he could've stayed in his car, and called the Police.

Instead, he turned around, got out of his car, started a confrontation, pulled out a gun and killed a guy.

There is no mention of race creed or color in this story. There are no facts except some dude was running naked. And some guy shot the naked dude.

The naked guy could have flagged the driver down. The story is deliberately left ambiguous so as not to have people on Internet forums explain what should or shouldn't have happened and what each persons part was in the story.

You have no idea what actually happened- neither do.

Did you know most media is designed to be consumed by people with an 8th grade education?

Maybe the dead dude was holding his penis and the driver thought it was a gun.

You did not comprehend what you read. You made assumptions.

This part of your criticism is right on point.

The victim is out all night at the ocean,

The article does not say how long he was out, nor what time any of this happened. It could have been 10 PM, midnight, four....

naked arguing with a "friend"

The article says a friend took his clothes and skateboard, not that he was arguing with a friend. And sometimes the "friends" of 22-year olds are idiots.

and then gets shot- you don't know what happened with the driver/shooter.

True.

This is how the Treyvon Martin case became so outrageously overblown- race baiting.

Also true, and it took ten days to report it widely.

Narrow view much?

Your view seems to be unsupportedly wide, however. FYI the video doesn't offer any further details except to contradict the written text by saying he was walking home, not running.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

If you follow the story linked in the "raw story -"article"" you will find supporting information as to my points. My view is not unsupported nor wide.
He was at the ocean around 5am after getting out of work- I have read multiple versions of the story and all seem to be canned stories. You may "get me on grammar" but don't pick apart my stance because it doesn't fit the narrative Mac is pushing. His statements are worth dissecting and are completely emotional and designed to pollute an issue with a biased point if view. I am trying to counter balance the ignorance and blatant stereotyping in his post.
It is irelavent that friends do idiotic things- it could have put the victim in a frame of mind where, as he was naked and defenseless- he would have lashed out at anyone trying to help, further ridicule, or even intent on doing him harm.
Do you see what I did here? I didn't take it sitting down because I am sick of this media bias, missing facts, racist assumptions, Al Sharpton burn down the store in Harlem points of view (look it up and prepare for disgust and then wonder why this man has a TV show).

How about the unedited articles:

This happened Sunday October 6th at about 5:30 AM.

It was reported by the Broward County Sun Sentinel, not the Orlando Sentinel.

Here's the first article that came out the 8th: [Link: sun-sentinel.com]

And the follow up that came out the 14th: [Link: sun-sentinel.com]

After reading those, it sounds like he might have stopped to try to help the guy and was attacked.

He already was involved in one altercation that morning that left him naked and stranded at the beach. Then he decides to run 10 miles home, barefoot and naked? That doesn't make sense.

From Mac's article:

“It is not normal for someone to be running naked down Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood police Lt. Osvaldo Perez explained. “I think that’s what spiked the other guy’s attention.”

It's even more "not normal" to confront them and shoot them.

Duke Laguerre, 29, told police that he passed Cherry on highway 29 and then turned around and went back to CONFRONT him. That’s when Laguerre apparently shot Cherry in the stomach, but he offered no other details about the encounter.

The emphasis on the word confront is mine. Language is everything and it's possible this is another case of the media trying to inflame things. But if the word "confront" is accurate, it does suggest something horribly wrong. Why would anyone confront a young naked man running down the street? The natural inclination would be to offer help, or call the police. And if you are in a car, why would you reach the point that you'd have to shoot an unarmed naked man? At the most you'd roll your window down a crack to speak with him, and drive away if he became belligerent, right?

So while it's possible this is like the Trayvon Martin case, where the initial media narrative was not accurate, right now we have to go with the narrative we have, and if it is accurate, than ya, it looks like another young man was killed by a gun toting moron for no reason.

He should have called the police so it was handled correctly, the police are much better at knowing how to claim they feared for their lives when they shoot an unarmed person 10 or 20 times...

I sure am glad your viewpoints aren't completely emotional like Mac's. Instead you appear to be deeply concerned about the facts and the evidence - like the fact that you don't like Al Sharpton. One might ask what the heck Al Sharpton has to do with this case. Some might even go so far as to think it's designed to pollute an issue with a biased point of view, by someone blinded by their bias.

Luckily we know that you are not emotional and not biased.

A guy in a truck with a gun murders a naked guy. There is no other option here. Definitely inbred. Definitely a murderer.
