Are any of you using this device for work? Like the ability to run Office and to sketch.

Office is growing from 1 to 3 and now we need to actually consider what to do about IT. Installer has a small laptop but the Admin and need quick books and D tools.

I saw one of these [Link: shop.lenovo.com] First time i used Windows 8 that i didn't want to end my own life. Twice as expensive as typical "work station" laptops but 5 times as cool.

512Gb is not enough?
You don't have to have every movie and pic you've ever taken on you, do you? :-)

Well I think these units kind of work well conceptually for what I need. The Helix is even better than Surface since it has a real keyboard.

A friend of mine is IT Director at a regional hospital. He seems to think the Fujitsu LifeBooks the docs carry are solid:

I know i am horrible about making decisions about what to buy but I settled on a Sony ultrabook. I wanted the X1 carbon from lenovo but they are taking to long to upgrade it. The Sony piece has the Haswell and an optional sheet battery for 13 hours of battery.

I hear sony is horrible with warranty so I am getting it from Micro center so they can inherit any issues.

Wish me luck.

I'll need an update in a few weeks on what you think. I've been watching the Lenovo models and have been waiting for them to upgrade the X1 carbon and T series with nobody able to say anything about when.

I had good luck with Sony desktops in the past but I never had to use their support or warranty.

You should check out Dell's new tablet Dell Venue 11 Pro. It is very similar to Surface Pro 2 at half the price.

I've seen the Sony VAIO Tap 11, and think it is very nice.

Best of a Tablet, with a full Haswell i5.

I really like the pen, and the way using it turns the touchscreen off, so you don't get the system doing strange things where your fingers touch. I like it for taking notes.
