Bought a house with a Concerto (not a Grand, so yes, older gear). Have pulled it apart (the external wiring, not the NV-I8DMS unit itself :) ), and put it back together. Have also added in two new zones, one with a slave - sitting at 7 zones [6 amplified plus 1]. Not an installer, but think I have figured things out OK? Pretty comfortable with the programming software. (System is running on 1.71 [which I think was the last version for the Concerto?])

Last piece to play with was the Mute Interface. Have one question, and looking for suggestions to one problem.

For the Doorbell hookup, it would appear that with the Concerto, the music will only mute while the person at the door presses the bell? So, if they press it quickly, it's but a quick hiccup in the music. Not very useful. Is this the correct behaviour? Do I have it hooked up incorrectly?

As for the problem is with the Phone Interface -> the expected behaviour I wanted to see was, "while the phone is ringing, the music should mute". Unfortunately, not getting ANY mutes at all when calls come in. Have two phone lines wired through the house. Have tested the wire to the back of the NV-MI1 itself (plugged a phone in to it, and it works no problem). Have also tried an entirely different feed to the back of the NV-MI1. All to no avail.

I am thinking that maybe the voltage driving the phones isn't enough for the NV-MI1 to sense? Have no problems anywhere in the house with phones ringing and receiving calls.

The only other thought is that the NV-MI1 itself has issues?

Thoughts? And thanks in advance!
