What Eastside said. To those of you not selling Yamaha: By all means, keep it up. This wouldn't be quite as fun if everybody carried the proper line of receivers.

Had an Integra today with sparklies and odd noise jetting through the pic on Samsung BDP input only. Comcast box also running through Integra; no issue. I pulled the HDMI from the output of the Integra and ran it direct from the BDP - no issues. Oh no...

Changing the BDP to 480p fixed it so I thought it might originate there. Made sure the Integra was set to pass through the HDMI and not do any conversion.

Finally turned off Deep Color on the Samsung BDP and all is well.

About 2 months ago a Sony would not go through the AVR - turning off Deep Color fixed that one also.

Maybe this will help another lost HDMI soul.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
