Went to change admin password on an NVR, next thing I know I can't log back in.

The iPad apps show account locked.

Tech support said wait 30 minutes. This was HOURS ago and still shows account as locked.

Cant log in remotely,locally, nothing!!

Anybody dealt with this?

Of course tomorrow is Saturday and IC REALTIME is closed and I have to fix this crap.

I can help.
First disconnect the network cable from the NVR.
Power cycle the NVR.
Now try your password.
If that doesn't work let me know,
The next thing will but will require a little more work.

Power cycle it and you won't have to wait the 30 minutes.  If that doesn't work tech support can get you a 24 hour "reset" password.

The network port unplugged is the key.
With no devices or software trying to login with the incorrect pw you are able to login it at the head end. Now changing your other devices to use the correct password.

Thanks folks i will give this a try today.

My mine gripe is that I know the password is correct so I have no idea why it locked me out.

I think the user was trying to log in while I was doing this and caused the lockup.

As far as removing power I fix it that doesn't work, that's what support said info and it didn't fix anything.

I will try the network unplugged.

Will update later today.

I thought that the main board had a reset pins.
That would be last resort as it would also delete names of cameras, settings, recording schedule, etc.

Did the unplugged network thing and got in.

However default user account is permanently locked.

Had to create new user names

The 'default' user is not an account you log into.
admin or 888888 account are all you need to create additional users and admin users.
Your welcome

I wasn't using the "default" name. I was using the admin account.

Thank you
