This is what I need:

I just need it to be in plastic so that it will be lighter.

I need it for an ONQ selective call dual gang intercom to set on end table next to couch for a customer that is in a wheelchair. He wants to grab it and operate it easily. I have made these out of wood and used the ones that are metal but I need one that is plastic. No, OnQ does not sell one.

Not exactly what you want, but maybe you could make it work.

Something like that Panduit surface mount junction box was all I could find in plastic, using Google.

Bad hack:

That's awesome! We're always talking about how bricked or outdated gear can only be used as a doorstop. Now here's a couple of doorstops being used with A/V gear!

I know Elan used to make them back in the day for their Z System keypads.  I'm not sure if they're still available or not but it may be worth a shot.

Simply Automated makes a single gang version you can get in white or black... maybe you could join two if them together?
