Ernie, I apologize. I have now added my location

Call me lazy, or maybe when I first sign up at a board, I don't give out a lot of information until I find out if I enjoy the board.

Needless to say, I have gotten a lot of enjoyment and answers from RemoteCentral and I was negligent in not putting my location in.

To clarify my original post, we are going to Disney World in Florida. My family (wife, son & daughter), my parents, and my sister and brother in law are all going.

We "borrowed" some FRS radios from my work for our '01 trip. They worked pretty well, but I was looking at something with better range. This is what led me to the GMRS.

For what it's worth, I've gotten more information on radios from this thread than anything I found googling. You guys are great!

Thanks

As for the info you have gotten, nothing beats people when it comes to communicating, huh?

That sounds like about the best reason I could ever think of! In fact, I realized when reading it that I did exactly that when I signed up. After a while, I just loosened up and now put the location in at the start.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Always good to find potential teammates.

I do work for 3 companies. One the guy doesn't have an athletic bone. Sprained his knee walking down a hill. Doesn't care about sports except when HD TVs are being sold for Foot ball basket ball or what ever.

Next company is run by 2 guys who were footballers in college. Well they atleast don't mind when I leave for tournaments.

3rd compnay is the one that I have been with the longest. Actually got me into the field. Owner was once an avid player and had a wife and daughter who played. Well we all took off from work for tournaments. Boss got old on me and decided to retire. He is in his late 50s. Never gives me guff when I want to go to nationals or anything like that.

Still play men's A usav. If only I had been taller...

All my teammates are always on me about... hey man can you hook me up on a TV? Joy's of the job.

Yup, at 5'10" I'm vertically challenged in the volleyball arena too. I don't know what the parents of the Redondo Beach crowd feed their kids, but they are growing skyscrapers!

Volleyball is a passion for me too. I play any chance I get even beyond league, and I try to see the AVP when they come to Huntington Beach.

Here I am, a 1.5 foot tall stack of papers to go through, two weeks worth of receipts that haven't been banked, customers from a month ago that have yet to be billed, and I'm on RemoteCentral talking about volleyball. I'm just glad my priorities are straight!

5'10" as well..That must make us all setters, which would be about right since it seems we all have a bit of "control" issues (when I say that I mean WE like to control) The setter is the one who controls speed of the play, defense and runs the floor.
I am the Varsity coach for a high school team here in AZ, and this will be my 11th year, we start our season in 2 weeks so I guess I will have a hard time finding time to post for about 4 months. have fun in Disneyland I will be there in November the week of Thanksgiving!

Setter... Are you kidding me? I got kicked out of that position long ago. Play OH2. Right side passer in the 2 man... I have a big bull's eye on me during receive. Handel most of the passing untill opponents catch on to the fact that that is why I am on the court at all.

I look up to you guys. 5'8" tall. Thank god for parents interest in sports. Handel comes from the saying at matches... "#12 has got Springs" Can reach almost 11 feet. I always get that first block. Jerk thinks he is going to hit it on the 10, then I feed it to him. Surprise.
