I'm based in the UK.
I have a client looking to expand his Crestron system.
He wants to integrate a phone system with the following criteria:
a) Must be wireless / base station with a good range.
b) Must have an answer-phone
c) Must be able to talk/listen to his front gate speaker (which he's prepaired to replace)
d) Must be able to operate the gate (contact closure) either with a dedicated button or by entering a code onto the handset.
e) He has spare RS-232 ports on the Pro 2 - I would like to get f/b into crestron, so I need a system that can be contolled via RS-232.

When someone presses the front gate button, house audio would either be muted or dimmed to a preset level.
All displays in the house would switch to the gate camera.

Any recommendations that would fit the above crieria.
Thanks
Gary

You project sound very interesting. i'm doing a condo a/v intercom project in SE Asia. we are using VB code to communicate between guard hse and unit by tablet pc with a small size mic. but we facing lots of feedback/noice during full duplex communication. Any Idea?
For your case you may can get some idea from this site www.secureciti.com

Siemens(sp) and Panasonic both make the wireless phone base that accepts 7 more wireless phones (digitally ID) back to the base. As for the gate...try an after market item by either...ummm...(Viking for one) that interfaces with conventional phone lines to add a front door station which makes the phone double ring when button is pressed. I believe it also has a relay control on it that can be routed to either the gate motor or to the I/O port on Crestron Processor.
