Hi
I'm looking for an easy way to control a computer using IR repeating.
I'm guessing I'm looking for an IR to Serial or USB
connector.
Has anyone done this and can you make suggestions.

Thinking of sending computer video and changing and modulating it to tv channel.

I am also looking for a way to maybe instead of modulating the video. Sending it to a product that would produce a drop down or on screen menu for the TV

Thanks for any help you can give me

Do yourself a favor. Get a real good Wireless Keyboard/Mounse for the computer. I use the Wireless Computing model and its works great at 75+ feet in most of the homes I've put it in.

As for the COnverting to COmposite, make sure you get a good quality converter or its going to be unusable on most TV's. Upgrade to a video card with onboard NTSC Video if you can.

No I don't want to use a Keyboard or mouse. This is a dedicated computer with a menu program and I want to be able to navigate the menu with a Pronto or Pronto type remote.

What Program? Most of the programs I've seen either come with the IR or at least have a recomendation for one that works.

I'm looking at a few IP control programs that work off
internet pads or touch screens or on a standard pc
I want to take the computer video and send it to
the TV's in the house and use the remote to navigate
the menus.
