Anyone know when these will be released, I need two in-wall Mini docks for a project.

Thanks!

Haven't heard anything about them...

I did hear that Core-3 interface will become available for iPads in the summer though (If you were wondering)

I heard that Extrons one is faster and easier to use.

Ok sorry I just had too.

On a side note Crestrons site doesn't even mention the mini in it's future products area. It does say they are working on it though.

I can't imagine they'll do ANYTHING before seeing what mini comes out next to see if it's the same size.

I think the difference is the Lighting connector. I don't think they have (or will be) releasing an iPod dock with the new lightning connector so why would they make the Mini Dock with the Lighting connector? Yes they will have to update as the new iPad's will release with the Lightining connection but I doubt that the Dock's are that much revenue for Crestron to spend a bunch of time and money into re-designing them with the new Lighting connector, just to have to re-design it next year for the next new apple product.

Just my $.02

How is docking station faster than another?

Does anyone make an inwall dock for the Mini?

Have an upcoming project that has numerous Crestron Ipad docks, waiting patiently for the mini dock as the client has expressed strong interest in using minis vs full size ipads.

Not like the Crestron dock does anything special. Just holds and charges the ipad.

Has the Crestron ipad mini in-wall mounts become the ultimate vaporware? Been over a year since it was posted on the Crestron website as "coming soon" Been waiting to upgrade old panels.

Looks like there will never be a Creston iPad mini doc. Got tired of waiting on an empty promise and their outdated equipment. Adagio was a joke. Pyng is a joke. Moving on!

Adagio was sold incorrectly by people who couldn't handle it.

Pyng is currently running all lights and shades in the $34,000,000 NYC Penthouse I am in using DIN modules and hardwired shades.

Haven't most companies given up on docks seeing as how Apple changes things every year?

Have you looked at WallSmart for in wall?

Really a Branded Dock is a joke.

Adagio worked just fine for what it was. I have several decent sized (~20 zone) Adagio systems chugging away out there. One power failure induced issue and that is about it. I will say I had issues with their keypads (the wheel in the center is failure prone).

Now Prodigy on the other hand…. Don't get me started.

No opinion of Pyng, haven't used it for anything as of yet.

Kind of bumming that they never did do a dock for the mini. I still sell a decent amount of the docks for the standard sized Ipads.

Crestron should change their name to Questron. I swear, every builder I deal with mispronounces the name.

I don't care for the launch port products. The technology/system is awesome i just can't stand the idea of having such a sleek touchpanel being turned into a bulky touchpanel.

Also...i am not a fan of removable wall docks. If it's in the wall it should stay there.
