Can anyone confirm if the Adaptive DRC (On/Off) setting is similar to 'night mode' on other receivers?

Reason: While watching DD/DTS programming client is stating there is a large dynamic swing between action scenes and quieter scenes with dialogue, causing them to frequently adjust the volume. Would this be the proper setting for them to use?

If not, is there another command that I should be looking into?

Thanks!

i still cant believe there is no night mode or easily accessible sub level control via ip. in my experience subwoofer level control is the number one adjusted setting on a surround sound system.
I love supporting product that supports me!

I'm giving them buttons for adaptive drc. And then we will tweek the dialog lift and dialog enhance options. I'm sure after all of that we will have a 'night mode". Although this is one time I wish the command was a toggle.

I have an RX-A3030 at my roommate's place, and there is a SUBWOOFER TRIM adjustment in the OSD menu that the OPTION button brings up from the main remote. It also has the DRC toggle in that menu as well.

The "main remote" has nothing to do with IP commands.
