I'm based in London UK & I'm looking to source some power amps that meet the following criteria:
RMS Power >50W/ch.
Stereo Line level input.
Must have IR volume control.

I don't need multiple source inputs as these amps will be driven from the Pre-out of a Yamaha Amp. Ideally I'm looking for a one box solution that can provide me with either 2 3 or 4 zones per amp. The purpose is to expand an existing system in the multimedia room to the Dining Room, Kitchen, Lounge and Garden. The Sonance Sonamp 1250 would have been ideal but IR volume control is vital. IR is incidentally Pronto.

CAT5 based systems (QED etc) are not an option in this case.

Thanks for your help.

Elan VSE's will add ir functionality to any amp, place them in the rooms, or at the head end with isloated IR wiring from their respective rooms.

Be sure to cover them well, they are sensitive and any uncovered emitter within a foot will effect them.

Thanks for that. I checked out Elan's site, (Haven’t been there for a while) although the VSE is neat bit of kit, it's not a one box solution. However Elan's Z300, Z660 amps appear to be just what I'm after. I've emailed them via the site (Max 250 chars - pain) & awaiting reply. What's the group’s opinion of their products?

Not your requested 50w/ch but it is bridgable to 80w/ch.

I know Xantech has a multichannel amp with IR controlled volume built in, I only used it once and it worked fine.
The reason I only used it once is because I usually use the bulletproof Sonamps, it had nothing to do with the quality of the Xantech amp.
I needed IR volume control in the amp for a really bizarre retrofit with walls of windows, mahogany panelled walls, and coffered ceilings where I couldnt cut VCs into the walls. I used MX-800 remotes and surface mount Canton Plus speakers and the Xantech amp.
The one I used is rated at 12 channels by 35 watts, but I think they have other models now.
