I'm looking to install a 4 zone audio server with modulated TV output. Can anyone rate the Imerge S2000 or M2000 audio servers as far as integrating with AMX? What about audiorequest products too. -jsj.

None of those have "Modulated" Video output... Compoiste yes...........

Look at the VIa DJ, marantz DH9300, and Sonance Concierge(Is that their Xiva box?)

All of these are Xiva based, work well with AMX, and have good price points.

Impaqt, Thanks for your advice. I did mean to say a video output that CAN be modulated. I'm looking for a server to hold around 1500 discs uncompressed / 4 or more zones. Maybe 2 servers could be linked? The AMX - MAX looks to be O.K. but I don't think it has the video O/P. - jsj

The AMX MAX does have Video output... FOr that much space, you definatly should look at MAX. None of the boxes I mentions wil come close to 1500 Uncompressed.... or 256k MP3 even..........

You can do it with Request too, but price is going to get up there for 4 outputs with that much storage....

If you have 1500 CD's that you want stored with lossless compression(Flac)or Uncompressed (WAV), Request is the only way to go. That is the main reason why these units are more expensive. They can't be beat with the everyday players for compressed sound quality. With this many discs you will have to go with at least a Tera 480 for Flac quality, retails at $15000.00, or at least a Tera 900 for Wav quality, retails at $20,000.00. Hope this helps.

By the way, the above mentioned was for one zone. You have to add zone controllers for each additional zone.

MAX will do 1500 discs, 4 outputs, with a Backup Drive array for about 30k-40k. Thats about half the price of the Request.

ANd as good as the Request interface is for AMX, the MAX interface for AMX blows it away.
