Had the Belkin USB to serial(f5U103) which worked no problem with Win 98 and would not work with WinXP. Just got the Keyspan USA-19QW Installed and it worked the first time and everytime. Just figured I would let everyone know. I was going crazy for 3 weeks trying to get the belkin to work to no avail.

I bet you do all your remote programming on your mac dont you Larry. Oh wait does ProntoEdit or TheaterTouch doesn't run on Mac, nope. Oh wait there is Virtual PC. Always a Mac users answer. If you have to use Virtual PC so much why not have a PC.

First, of all, Vinny (who seems to selight in giving me grief, for some reason), I don't do remote programming, except for my own Harmony, which I do on my fiancé's Win98 PC. The VPC doesn't seem to do Harmony with Win95.

Second, I do use VPC because her our computers are networked via our hub, which is used because we share a DSL connection.

The VPC program translates everything between formats simply by drag'n'dropping files into or out of the VPC window. I can even do a "copy" in Mac and a "paste" in Win95, and, voila!, there it appears.

Why do anything in Mac? There is so much that an older Mac can do better than a newer PC. It's more versatile.

To answer your last rhetoric, even she agrees that the Mac is much less troublesome just to keep running without those worst-possible-moment crashes.

Can't we just get along?

Larry

Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes.
You are transparent! I see many things;
I see plans within plans. The Spice must flow!

Windows ME.....everyone says it's MS's worst OS ever. Why does it work so flawlessly for me? Am I just that good? Why yes I am!! But no, seriously....this PC/MAC debate has been going on for years. Don't pick on the Mac guy, we all know his computer has far fewer problems than ours....but blame Microsoft...not Macintosh. After all, just be glad that when our computers actually work, we paid half as much as they did. And we've got cooler games!!!
