I recently installed an mx800 with a system and I'm having a problem with it that I have not run into with any of the other MX800's I have put in. When any of the macros are pressed on the main LCD screen they need to be held down for a second for the macro to be sent out. If the button is just tapped it jumps directly to the function page of that device. On all the other MX800's I have put in every time the macro buttons is pressed the macro is sent out. I didn't know if this was a new feature of the remote or If I had just overlooked it in the past. Today I was at a job with one of my older remotes and I tried tapping the macro button. It sent out the full macro every time. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Remove the leading DELAY from the first step of the macro.

Sounds like a MX-600, As that is how macros are sent from that remote. Maybe it has the wrong internals in it.

it's not a bug, it's a feature.
Programmable delay times rock. You can just switch devices on the remote with a tap, or you can hold down the button to send off a macro.

We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours. |

Very nice feature......... Not real well know.
If you put a Delay as the first step of your macro it will do the Tap to Device/Press-Hold-Macro function.
I find this confuses the hell out of most people so I dont use it on most jobs, but for the power user who needs to flip around to different devices for PIP or recording options its very nice.
A Leading delay of .5 Seconds means you need to hold the button for .5 seconds to engage the macros, 1 second for one second and so on........
