Mike, I'm impressed that you were able to produce that at 0130.
If you typed that off the cuff and not copy/pasted the details... well, that would be scary.

Mike,

This is most likely the closet product to what is needed. We want to be able to certify for up to 10G with the new 4K resolution upon us, it is all but necessary. It appears that without the fiber testing, these kits run around 8500. Do you find you have made your money back with this product in up charging for complete certification or is it more peace of mind? I really wish there was a certifier that was solely designed for HDBaseT and tested accordingly.

We charge for the process accordingly. Sweep testing twisted pair is only one part of a comprehensive quantitative test and acceptance procedure that we use on our projects. It definitely provides peace of mind when the equipment is installed and there are issues, you can more quickly point to something else in the signal chain after ruling out the infrastructure.

No.

We charge for certification and appreciate the ease of use of the Fluke certifier(s). We also use it for certifying DM cables. Yes, they are very expensive. Ours even has its own locking cabinet in the shop.

We have simple Ideal testers for continuity.
