I need help finding the best multi-zone media server. What works well without breaking the bank? We are possibly looking for integration with a tablet PC or "Pilot" display/controller by Viewsonic (or equivilent). Is it feasible to use an 802.11 interface with the tablet to control the media server with a tablet PC? I am a seasoned installer, but without experience with media servers and minimal computer proficiency.
I would appreciate any input.
Thanks

Go with the best, Request Mulitmedia. You will find it cheapest in your labor hours; their stuff works very, very well. Other brands need more on-site effort on your part to keep them running. I've done one of the other leading brands for years, and have left all the profit $$ at the client's doorstep keeping them running.

Theaterworks: Thank you for your reply. I have heard good things about the Request. Do you know how much a 4-zone server would cost?
After hearing your reply, I am even more convinced that I would be better off letting someone else do the music server and computer interface. If anyone is in the San Diego area who is interested, I would be happy to refer the business to you. The only thing that I would ask is that you make the customer happy. If someone is interested, please reply.
