Got stuck installing an owner supplied 32" Sony plasma with a chief wall bracket. The power cord hits the bracket and makes the set hang caddywampus. I need to cut a section from the bracket, I think. Anyone else encounter this? I've used the same type chief bracket on fujitsu and they're dynomite. what gives?

If you are uncomfortable cutting the bracket, you could always break out the soldering iron and hard-wire the power cord.

Me? I cut and drill brackets all the time when necessary. I draw the line at firing and hammering.

don't even think of soldering a power connection. I hope that was a joke. There is no way to solder a power connection so that it is legal and up to code. If there is a fire, you are fried, too.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I had the same problem. I found a computer store with 3 prong power cords that have a right angle at the end that goes into the set. Even worked on a set where I had to narrow the chief bracket down to 1" to fit behind a sliding door.

Do you need a chief bracket for that model, I have a spare.

Whenever I find those right angle computer cords at surplus places, even garage sales, I pick them up. Saved many a headache. Like the cabinet door not closing because the unit is 3/4" too deep? Whew.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
