1 projector, 2 hd sat receivers, 1 multi room amp/controller, 1 IR sytem. They all have screwed up in one way or another. Overall there is a lot of gear in this house but I'm haveing alot of miscl. issues.
Just curious to hear what others think about the possibility the my gear is starving for electricity.
The area the home was built is pront to power surges and outages.
Everything has a surge protector on it.
Is it the lack of power?
Thanks

First, What Kind of Surge are you suing? There are a lot of Surge devices out there that do NOTHING in a brown out situation.
Have youmesured the A/C Voltage under load? If its dipping below 110 then you have power issues that definatly need to be addresed.

Is there a Generator in the home? Check the voltage at crosover if there is. I've run into a lot of goofy regulators that throw all kinds of goofy current into a home when the generator kicks in. Have one job thats taken out some sat boxes even with Hiogh quality Monster Power conditioners in place.

I had a similar problem once. Sometimes fluctuating power can be a real problem. I installed AC voltage regulators (not line conditioners). Furman makes some good ones.

We put in HTS 2500's on the plasmas and dist. audio system and hts5000's on the theater room gear.
