Been reading that others have seen this box. New graphics are pretty nice, but this older client yesterday said she didn't like it. Hit a channel number and you get a search box instead of going to the channel. That's not the reason for this post however. It doesn't use Moto codes that have worked forever.

This box said model PX001ANM on it. It had a somewhat TiVo like peanut shaped remote. No menu, list, cable power button. Toggle play/pause.

Tried learning codes into an MX880 and most took, but page down, exit, previous ch, and Xfinity (new menu button) would not learn. I ran out of time but will go back Thursday.

Does this model ring a bell, and are there clean codes anywhere? I read that the RTI database had an Xfinity X1 RNGxxx remote, but this did not have RNGxxx in the model number.

When I go back I will also try learning with an RTI learner for test purposes. I have had a couple remotes I could not learn into the MX880 (Atlantic PB235 sound bar and Atlona mini amp). Want to find out if I have general 880 issues.

I tried learning the codes into Crestron, but there isn't anyway I, or True Blue, know of to pull the HEX info out to paste into RTI. I learned most of the codes in RTI, but I havent been back to test out either. I'm really hoping someone has some work around.

Anyone come up with a fix to this?

I just spent half a day trying to learn the lodes with no success. Also, the RNG200 codes did work but were too sluggish to be any good.

There are IR magicians who frequent this site and who can work out a complete set of guaranteed perfect codes, but they need a few sample working codes to do the magic. Could someone post some working codes here?

If you can't get working codes into an RTI learner, believe it or not I'd recommend you find an old Pronto TS1000. The three best learners I've seen are the Crestron, the RTI, and the Pronto TS1000. I carry one with me, it'so good!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

URC codeset works on a MX 780 & MX 980 thru CCP, have had CRAPPY luck getting a MX 900 or MX-450 to actually learn the codes either from the manufacturers original or from a working/ CCP programmed MX-780 with codeset 195, no matter what URC tech support says the codes set is absolute junk in some of thier remotes. Anyone that can figure this out before URC does, if ever, deserve's paid compensation from URC, in my opinion. Yea both will probably never happen. IMO

I just did a 4350 which I learned from the 780. I had trouble learning it from the factory remote. You have to use the block method to learn it. When you put the remotes facing each other put something between them, your hand works fine. Hold down the button you want to learn, then after a second of holding it down removed whatever you are using to block the IR between them.

This removes what I call the "header" from the IR code. It worked great with this method. Before this method I was getting multiple responses of that button every time it was pressed.

URC should update the 450 database. Not sure why it isn't working on a 900.

I don't know if they updated the MX-450 database but it is code 195 if using line of sight IR and code 202 if using the remote with an RF base station. Not for the 450 but if using an IP remote it is code 203.

They did the update for the 450 a few weeks ago, the only issue is the the codes are now found under Comcast not Xfinity like they were previously. Have had pretty good luck with the new codesets.

i uploaded a mx-450 file in the control room forum. i learned it by using an mx-900 into a 450. that seemed to work. i tested it on site, but haven't had to use it since.
