client says Worst Buy will sell him a 44" lcd for about $2500. Is this another bogus big box sales technique?

Looks real enough. The LCD Rear-projection sets are around $2500.00 all over the net. If you are trying to sell him a flat-panel display, he may be trying to pull a fast one in hopes you wont check it out.

Probably true enough. Zenith's 44" can only be purchased big box.
