Look to expand my horizons a bit.
Anyone have favorite industry periodicals?
Anyone have favorite magazines for reading reviews of speakers, receivers etc.?

remotecentral.com's forums give me way more product info than any magazine ever will...
Most magazine review will be good since the product being reviewed is usually from a paying advertiser. You won't hear about any bad in the box units, or any units that suck big green ones, nor will you hear any bad Bose reviews.
Here, we tell of our experiences with various units from almost all major brands- and your comments on equipment means a hell of a lot more to me than anyone else's opinions!

Twice is a good one, but their e-mail list is even better... it shows up a week earlier.
Like "Home Theater" and "AV Interiors" mostly for the pictures and custom work... easy to show to clients.
Don't like that new "DVD etc." or it's sister "HDTV etc." they seem to think that everything is great.

I have to completely agree with Ahl on this one! You guys are in the trenches, and your posts are a gold mine of information. There is no way a mag, industry or consumer, can be as forthright due to a need for advertising to perpetuate themselves.

Like "Home Theater" and "AV Interiors" mostly

to clients. Oh yea - AV Interiors must be my favorite bit of home theatre porn. ...but of course I only read it for the articles...
