It's been quite a long time since I have posted here. I kind of miss hanging out here with you guys.
Any way, I'm hoping the brain trust here can come up with something for my situation. I am looking for a device that accepts a 12v trigger and outputs a learn-able ir code. That is the minimum requirement for my "thingie". If I can add a wish list I would also like it to output another learn-able ir code when it ceases to sense a 12v trigger.
I need the cost to be low so I can't just put in a control system from AMX, C4, Crestron, etc...
It's gotta be out there somewhere.

You can do exactly what you want with this unit.

You can even make your wishlist happen with it.

It'll work if there is nothing else, but I should have mentioned my first wishlist is for the price tag to be the $50-$100 range to make it a no-brainer.

Arduino, an IR LED and a voltage divider. About $40.
