When I have temporarily access to Samsung remote control, which has an unique button code, how do I can save this button code in universal format for future and share it to others?
That's in order to be later able to program this bottom to other remotes.
Right now I have tested it in Philips SRU6006, but it will get lost whenever this remote will be reseted.

Button I give so much value, is Samsung TV direct HDMI input selection, which all Samsung TV's I have seen are missing. And IMO it's most boring to navigate through input source list. Therefore I always want to have at least to direct buttons - TV and HDMI inputs.

Does Philps Prestigo SRU6006 USB supports saving codes to PC in some universal mode?
Or is needed some other more expensive remote unit?

But if Samsung HDMI code is already available, then where and what does it needs to teach it to some other remote?

Most programmers here turn off HDMI-CEC, so this code would be useless.  However you may get more luck posting in the consumer remote forum.

Your question may indeed rightly be addressed to the consumer remote forum, but here are some pro answers.

Buy a Pronto remote, whether European model or American model. Download programming software from this site. Teach code to remote, store code in computer. This kind of code works with RTI remotes, can be imported into URC remotes, and is also usable by Crestron and, I believe, AMX.

Exactly. But what remotes will you program it to? Do you mean "program," as in "connect to computer and use software to assign codes to buttons," or do you mean "learn"? If you have the code in your computer, you can always download it to your Pronto, then teach it to your new remote, or your old remote after reset. And of course you've got it in your computer for use with other approaches to programming remotes.

THE most boring.

Sorry, I don't know, but I'm guessing it does not. Does it have a mini jack, a USB jack, or a JP1 jack on it?

If the code is available on the internet, or on paper, it needs an instrument to turn the code into and IR signal. The Pronto would do that.

I think you should post in the Pronto forum, referring people to this thread and asking which model you should look for. And we might need to know what country you are really in to give you the best answer.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
