Does anyone know any IR or RS232 controlled appliances (coffee machine, microwave, washer, dryer, stove, etc?) and also remote control door locks?

Most of the Appliances I've seen are talking about IP Connectivity rather than Traditional IR or RS232.
As for Door Locks, There are litereally dozens of models to choose from. Any commercial Release can be controlled by a Remote control.. All you need is a Remote controlled Relay to trip it.
