Hi, I'm sure this is easy for everyone except me. I've never worked with RC5 codes so please bear with me. I received this information from Krell for the Power On / Off functions:
#NAME? #NAME? 16 52 #NAME?
#NAME? #NAME? 16 53 #NAME?
So what the heck do I do with this information? I have an RTI T2 remote.
Thanks

RTI has no provision for importing RC-5 codes in this format. They can be entered into a Pronto..... THats about it. THe way to get around RC-5 with an RTI is to learn both codes separately then use the Toggle Macro to alternate the codes.

OK, I've got a pronto now. I am not able to enter the RC5 code. When I look in the help file, it says I can do this by pressing the "Advanced" button. BUT there isn't an advanced button anywhere on the screen. I have View IR, Learn/Edit IR, and Test IR but no Advance button. I have version 2.0.6 of the editor.

Well, you should upgrade to 4.05. Advanced features are unlocked automatically in 4.05 With 2.xx you have to do a registry hack to open up the advance options. (There is also a program in the files area Pronto.ini Workshop I believe that can enable this for you)

I downloaded the 4.05 version but it doesn't work with the TSU3000 I have. I haven't found the pronto.ini file yet. Is there a way to convert RC5 without having to buy another remote?

Ah.... You have Pronto NG, Not Pronto.... I though 2.0.6 didnt sound like a prontoedit Version, but couldnt remember for sure.

I would take this question over to the Pronto NG forum. Just recently started working with the Marantz RC5400(TSU3000) so I'm out of advice. I would think PENG would have a place to enter RC5, but cant direct you...

You could assign the RC5 code in prontoedit and then import the ccf into PENG, load it up and teach. Which Krell are you dealing with? Some Krell preproc will teach IR codes to your remote

TheaterTouch Designer *can* import Pronto hex codes, but I don't think it works with RC5 codes (which are saved in a different format than normal learned codes).

Marantz Wizz.it and ProntoEdit "classic" can create RC5 hex codes, which will have to be cut-and-pasted into ProntoEdit NG. Or, if you use the original version of ProntoEdit, you can save the commands as a CCF file and then import it into ProntoEdit NG.
