Hi
To cut a long story short ive recently spent over 2000 GBP££££ on a new entertainment system which to me is alot and i wish to get a universal remote, to controll all four aspects of the system. Normally this would be a simple task but sadly my sytem includes an NTL digital set to box (I dont know if this is a product seen in the US but basicly it uses irda signals instead of ir) This means i need to ensure any remote i get will either hold and be able to impliment the codes for ntl boxes or be able to learn (Through a "magic eye" like thing) irda codes. Any advice anybody could give me would be greatly apreciated thankyou for your help wether its advice on a remote or telling me im screwed.

(I would also like to know if the new One For All Kameleon 8 URC-9960 specificly would be compatable)

Probobly the wrong forum.........

I know Pronto based remotes Can do IRDA to some extend.... They seem to control Escient fireballs just fine, but I seem to remeber some threads about the Pace boxes that were an issue with Prontos (Or some remotes... Didnt folow the thread)

ANyway, If your looking at the Kameleon price range, you should probobly post this over inthe one for all forum as those guys would have more direct experience with those remotes..... You wont find many guys in here with a lot of experience below a Marantz RC3200 price point.($220)

I haven't seen it in action but this looks like the answer (or part of it)
