Hello everyone,

Would appreciate your help on the following:

Connected my computer (w/ a ATI Radeon 9200 graphic card) to the TV (Sony KF50WE610) via DVI. Portion on the top and bottom of the screen was cut. The only resolution setting is 640x480 and I was not able to adjust. The image is sharp but I am not able to get the full content and can't even scroll down. My installer downloaded the latest driver and researched through the website in Sony and ATI but was unable to get a solution.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

I do not believe that Sony's GW TVs are designed to be used with computers - at all. At least I tried for ages with PowerStrip on my KF-60XBR800, and was unable to get anything quite right. I could get it to display various resolutions (1024x768, 1920x1080), but none of them looked quite correct.

Perhaps with more time I could have found something that would work (PowerStrip kept creating settings that the GW wouldn't lock onto at all and was a real problem to fix), but in the end I had better luck using ATI's HDTV component adapter. Plug and play with that.
